Readable JSON makes structure easier to inspect. JSON Lens lets you control output order and save the result while keeping the input text intact.

Pretty JSON and line numbers

Pretty JSON indents nested structures and colors keys and value types. Output line numbers help you navigate the formatted document. Copy JSON and Download JSON exclude the numbers.

Optional key sorting

{"z": 1, "a": {"z": 2, "a": 3}, "items": [3, 1, 2]}

Check Sort keys alphabetically. Keys are ordered at every object level, but items remains [3, 1, 2]. Uncheck to restore parsed key order. JavaScript character ordering is case-sensitive; numeric-looking keys may be reordered by JavaScript even when sorting is off.

Copy or download

Copy JSON puts the current complete formatted output on the clipboard. Download JSON saves it as json-lens-output.json. Both reflect selected sorting and the current converted or repaired result. Search does not filter exported data.

Keep numeric limitations in mind

JavaScript numbers can round large integers and high-precision decimals. Use a tool with exact numeric support when precision matters. JSON Lens focuses on exploring structure and formatting.

Processing and privacy

Documents are processed in browser memory and are not saved between visits. The theme preference is remembered on this device. Feedback currently prepares a copyable message; it does not send it.
